| Bio: | What can I say? At my age I should know better, but then I always did plan to grow old disgracefully. I will be using my LJ to discuss, relate, inform, rant, laugh, exhange and generally have fun on all manner of things that pique my interest. These range from films, TV, books, people, food, writing, music, bringing up children, becoming a wise woman and anything in between. Currently,as far as TV goes, I am watching, House, West Wing, Doctor Who and Lost. Much to my amused horror, I am also finding Deal or No Deal very interesting. Films. Ah yes, films. I am going to see more films at this stage of my life than since I was a young girl. I will go and see anything that does not cause me outrage, is not in any form sexist, racist, facist, ageist or portrays violence towards women in any form. Surprisingly, that does leave a nice pool of films to watch. Books, hmmm. Well, as I writer I find the current best seller list infantile in conception, illiterate in its use of the English language and on the whole, written by people with way too much on their hands and an overblown sense of self importance. Hence, I stick to the good writers. I am reading all of Patrick O'Briens Aubrey/Maturin series in order and am thoroughly enjoying them. Tolkien is always there to pick up when I run out of anything else to read. One other thing that I will say about myself, is that I do not suffer fools gladly. | |||||||
